Biography

Bassem Nabarawy is a corporate lawyer, and legal instructor at the General Authority for Investment (GAFI), currently living and working in Egypt. His areas of focus are corporate law and entrepreneurship.  

As a corporate lawyer in GAFI, he provides legal consultation services for registering companies, board meetings, general assembly meetings, taxation for Startups, MSMEs, foreign investors, and entrepreneurs daily.

Moreover, he removes the challenges for them to incorporate their companies and Startups smoothly and legally in Egypt; therefore, Bassem has supported investors in establishing more than 8800 companies with capital exceeding 440 million dollars and has helped over + 1900 companies to raise funds exceeding 265 million dollars till August 2023.

As a legal instructor, he provides online and face-to-face legal mentoring sessions for lawyers and entrepreneurs on the registration requirements for their new ventures, guides Startups throughout their legal processes, raises funds, amendments. He delivers these sessions in more than one organization, such as, Flat6Labs, Ministry of investment, The British University in Egypt, Arab Academy for Science, Aspire for training solutions, EYouth, rights for all, and others.

Furthermore, he provides training for law school students, and law graduates on the procedures they must follow to register their ventures in GAFI, licensing process, raise funds. Besides, he believes in social responsibility; as a result, he launched recently his free legal YouTube channel to help lawyers, entrepreneurs, investors, and Startups to remove the legal challenges for them to learn and invest in Egypt smoothly.

Bassem was chosen as the best employee in 2021 and 2022 respectively at GAFI for his great efforts. Besides, he received many appreciation certificates for his valuable contributions in the fields of legal and entrepreneurship.   

 His educational background includes Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in law, from Ain Shams University, Egypt. Furthermore, he obtained an MBA degree in international trade and entrepreneurship from Anhalt University, Germany. Besides, he is seeking now to conduct his Ph.D. in law from England.
